After some ongoing shoulder issues, I am happy to report that I am finally back sewing again, and I REALLY missed it! Sewing and fabric and making stuff is definitely my happy place. It is creative, relaxing, stress-reducing and fun all rolled into one!
And what better way to celebrate that to order some greta new fabrics! Here are just a few examples of what is on the way:

After 50 plus years of sewing, there are tools that were not even invented when I first started sewing at age 14, like rotary cutters. I have collected a ton of sewing notions and tools, and inherited a bunch from my late mother-in-law (including 26 pairs of scissors!). I also use some things as sewing tools that were not originally designed for sewing, such as a metal shish-ka-bob skewer for poking out sharp corners in bags, and needle-nosed jewelry pliers for pulling stubborn threads and tightening zipper cord pulls.

The bobbin saver bobbin holders- eliminates all those runaway bobbins with thread sticking out everywhere!
my wall-mounted wooden thread rack- it took years before I finally bought one of these and it is a huge improvemnet over plastic containers
Mini Wonder Clips- one of the all-time best sewing inventions ever! Much easier than pins
and for easy cutting- a rotary cutter and mat- big timesaver!
